Unveiled by GPS industry leader Garmin way back in February of 2008, the phone was originally expected to be a bit of a market-shaker and put up some competition to the iPhone with its complete set of GPS and turn-by-turn navigation that Garmin is famous for. But, as it was expected in the 3rd quarter of last year, it’s still not out and many other different phones have been introduced that set up competition to the Nuvifone.

Although the Garmin website for the phone is still up and the device’s two models are there, word about the them has almost came to a whisper except for new news circulating around that Garmin would now partner with PC and consumer electronic manufacturer Asus to come out with an Android-based phone from Garmin. We’ll have to see what Garmin has to offer come the third or fourth quarter of this year.

Now- sorry about my recent absence- I’ve been quite busy wondering here and there, taking this test and that test and working on this project and that project. But, let’s pop a question to start off. After all, I’ve been on a little vacation break for a while and don’t want to bore you. But, let’s hear what you think of our new president! On January 20th,  Barack Obama became our new presidente (Spanish is fun) and many people are happy, and some are not. But let’s hear what you think? I want comments (I’m not yelling at you)!!!!!! Also, I guess I’m really psyched because the White House just got their own blog in their mission to keep everyone connected to what’s happening in their government.  Heck, they even got a Director of New Media (Macon Phillips) which seems like a pretty big technological step forward for them. Would you go see the White House blog? I just think it will take a little getting used to because, well, we now have a White House 2.0…
