Wow! In the interview, Facebook board member Marc Andreessen said that in a few years, the site can expect profits into the billions. Wow again.

Facebook, being the 4th most visited site on the internet, earns much of their revenue through the use of non-traditional, non-intrusive ads on their site and through the sale of virtual gifts that members can purchase for one another.

What some though was going to be a huge overload on Facebook’s servers was not so much after all as most people calmly came off with all their own usernames last night on the site. While their were some complaints here and there from people who didn’t get the username they were hoping for, most things went well for the servers as some FB employees on Twitter said that over 200,000 usernames were snatched up in a matter of just a few minutes!

Facebook also said that pages with 1,000 fans could also grab their own custom URLs, and pages with less than that amount could have their own URL on Sunday, June 28th.

Poor Facebook also most likely has to deal with hundreds, if not thousands of copyright and trademark infringement claims after starting this username feature of the site from people and companies who claim that someone stole their Facebook name.
